Andaman and Nicobar Islands are an Indian Union Territory located in the Bay of Bengal. The archipelago of 527 islands feature expansive lengths of palm tree beaches, white sand beaches, mangroves, tropical rainforests, coral reefs and crystal clear turquoise blue waters all around.
The Andaman islands have been developed and commercialized for tourists. However, the Nicobar Islands have restricted entry to protect the tribes living therein.
The 37 inhabited islands have been developed while preserving the islands as much as possible. Therefore, this gives a very untouched and serene feel to the visitors. It’s a perfect holiday destination for anyone who wishes to refresh themselves under the blue skies, turquoise seas and palm trees.
As these islands experience a tropical climate, you can visit these islands at any time during the year. The temperatures here bounce between the range of 24 – 37C. Apart from beach visits, the islands also give opportunities for trekking, and exploring sea caves as these islands have been built on submerged mountains.
When in Andaman you’ll see attractions such as – Mount Harriet, Cellular Jail, Barren Island Volcano, Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park, Bharatpur Beach, Samudrika Marine Museum, Corbyn’s Cove, Howrah Bridge, etc.
